Two accomplished musicians, cellist Hitoshi Suzuki and harpist Tomoko Sato will share the all-time favorite selections from both Classical and popular repertoire in the intimate space at Hoson House. You will enjoy the delicate and yet intricate textures produced by two of the most beautiful, soothing instruments. What a great way to start the New Year!

Hitoshi Suzuki is a versatile musician, having studied the cello with Václav Adamíra in Japan and Daniel Veis in the Czech Republic, as well as having studied the piano with Masako Nakajima, Betty Woo, and Vitaly Margulis -ultimately receiving his bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He was one of the judges for the 2012 Valeria Fenzi Scholarship Awards for young harpists, and is an active member of the American String Teachers Association. As a composer, he published a collection of original compositions called "Snow Magic," written for his cello and piano students, and produced its album in 2013. A devoted teacher, Hitoshi’s passion for music and wide knowledge of the arts make him a highly sought-after instructor in Orange County, California.
Tomoko Sato, an award-winning harpist has shared her love and passion for the harp with her audience in Los Angeles/Orange County for over twenty-years. As an active musician Tomoko frequently performs with Cello, and Flute for various events, including Philharmonic Society of Orange County and charity concerts/disaster relief funds. She is a co-founder of Harpsody Duo, and performed at the Harp Society National Convention upon invitation. She was also featured in the publication ‘Harp Column’ and ‘edible’ Orange County magazine. Tomoko was awarded the Best Business of Irvine in the category of musicians, in 2015 and 2016. As a versatile musician, she plays a wide range of repertoire, including Classical, Popular, and Jazz. She is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music, and holds DMA from University of Southern California.
