Hoson's popular performer Chris Maldonado is back with his duo partner Danielle Yi to share the exciting two-piano repertoire,  Stravinsky's Le sacre du printemps along with Mozart and Chopin piano concerti arranged for two pianos.  Two grand pianos is in the intimate Hoson is like hearing the full orchestra!

Since starting piano at 14, Christopher Maldonado, 22 is now prizewinner of numerous music and scholarship competitions. He earned Bachelor of Music from Bob Cole Conservatory of Music in May, 2015 under the tutelage of Craig J. Richey. He works as a collaborator playing in degree recitals, competitions, festivals. He is honored to have also experienced 2 years in InterACT, a theatre troupe which creates improvised performance experiences to empower and create awareness of social oppression (racism, homophobia, sexual assault, stalking).  He hopes to share the music he loves with as many people as possible, and to continue to grow as an ambassador for social change. Chris will be going to Indiana University for Master Program in Piano Performance with full scholarship starting in Fall 2015.

Danielle Yi started her piano studies at the age of 5 and has studied with teachers Setsuko Kim and Lois Roberts. A Cole Scholar, she recently finished her studies at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Professor Althea Waites. Throughout her years of playing she has won numerous awards in competitions such as Bach Festival, Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF) and Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC).  Recently, she was accepted to University of Southern California's Thornton School for graduate studies in Piano Performance. She hopes to attend this fall. In the future, she hopes to continue growing as a pianist and musician to become a professor of piano to share her love of music with others.
