Five outstanding graduates from the Cole Conservatory of Music, Clarinetist Hiroshi Ikeda, violinist Lucy Lu, violist Bianca Lara, cellist Callie Galvez, and pianist Resli Bagaygay will perform 

  • Johann Nepomuk Hummel - Clarinet Quartet in E-flat major, S.78
  • Anton Arensky - Piano Trio No.1, Op.32 - I. Allegro moderato
  • Gustav Mahler - Piano Quartet

Hiroshi Ikeda  is a clarinetist in the Greater Los Angeles area.  He studied at Bob Cole Conservatory of Music under Helen Goode-Castro.  Passionate about chamber music, Hiroshi has been a founding member for many chamber ensembles including the Viridian Wind Quintet, Reeders' Digest (reed quintet), and the Long Beach Clarinet Quartet.

Bianca Lara received her Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach. She has performed with symphony and chamber orchestras at Carnegie Hall, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and in venues throughout Europe.

Violinist Lucy Lu began studying violin with her father at three years of age and has performed extensively throughout China, Hong Kong, and the United States as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. Lu graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory, where she was a scholarship student and served as concertmaster. Currently Ms. Lu serves as the concertmaster of the Bellflower Symphony.

Callie Galvez studied at the Cole Conservatory under cellist Dr. David Garrett and at Boston University with Marc Johnson. In 2014, Galvez moved to Berlin participating in master classes around the country and performing in France, Germany, Italy, and Czech Republic. She also recorded with local musicians in NYC, joined the innovative musical organization “Group-Muse.” In 2016, Galvez has performed at LA Union Station for Bach in the Subways and the LA Violoncello Honors Society. 

Resli Bagaygay earned Bachelor of Music degree and currently pursuing  Master of Music under the instruction of Craig Richey at Bob Cole Conservatory of Music.  During his studies, he was recipient of the Daniel Cariaga Scholarship and the Kirshbaum Memorial Scholarship, and performed as soloist with the Cole Symphony Orchestra as winner of the instrumental concerto competition.
