Hoson House is delighted to open the new year with the brilliant, joyful piano trio music!!! The three outstanding young, accomplished musicians in Calure Piano Trio, Lucy Lu (violin), Callie Galvez (cello), and Resli Bagaygay (piano) will perform Haydn's Piano Trio No.1, and Piazzola's Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas (Four Seasons of Buenos Ares). Piazzola is a Argentine composer, who brough tango influence to the Classical music, and it is truly enjoyable for both Classical and jazz audeince.  

Established in 2013, the members of the Calure Piano Trio formed during their studies at Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach. Calure has performed in recitals and masterclasses throughout California with its members collaborating in various duo and chamber performances internationally. The trio has delighted audiences with their passionate enjoyment of music and desire to share their love for the pieces they perform.

Violinist Lucy Lu began studying violin with her father at three years of age. She has performed extensively throughout China, Hong Kong, and the United States as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician. Lu graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of California State University, Long Beach, where she was a scholarship student and served as concertmaster of the Bob Cole Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Opera Orchestra.

Pianist Resli Bagaygay received his B.M. from California State University Long Beach as a scholarship student under the tutelage of Craig Richey, and has performed as a soloist with the Cole Symphony Orchestra. He is an active collaborator/accompanist, piano teacher, and serves as the recital chair of the MTAC Lakewood-Cerritos Branch.  His past teachers include his late godmother, Helen Grace Olmedo, and Ardes Abad.

Cellist Callie Galvez enjoys a versatile career as chamber musician, teacher, orchestral musician, and recitalist. Galvez is presently in Los Angeles studying under Robert deMaine, principal cellist of the LA Philharmonic. She is a member of La Mirada Symphony and Bellflower Symphony, cellist for Calure piano trio and the Biola Honors Quartet, teacher of cello and piano at Hills Academy and AMUSE, and cello coach at YOLA-Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles.
